Stagecraft is a the technical aspect of theatrical and film production. It includes constructing and rigging scenery; hanging and focusing of lighting; design and procurement of costumes; make-up; stage management; audio engineering; and procedures of props. Stagecraft includes understanding safe work practices, collaboration, and theatre organization. It requires effective communication, conflict resolution, and basic project management.
I am a person who enjoys sewing, sculpting, carpentry, building, painting and design. This is an area of theatre production where I would be able to use my creative and artistic skills.
